Jordan and Stormy got in contact with me via a Facebook group where they posted asking for photographers with a less traditional wedding style - saying they were eloping and dreamed of a Wuthering Heights themed wedding on the North Yorkshire moors. I replied with some shots I'd taken in the peaks with a musician for press photos and we got booked in.
Fast forward to the day - Jordan and Stormy had come over from Portland, OR for an elopement with a couple of good friends and their kids. They'd already sorted the legals and were treating this as a dream wedding to create some memories and it was my job (along side the videographer Niall) to capture the day.
We met at their AirBNB in the middle of nowhere and captured a few portraits, prep photos and a first look before heading to the main location that they'd scouted out above the cliffs in Robin Hoods Bay.
Up on the moors we met Roop the celebrant and the rest of the crew and quickly gathered ourselves for the ceremony. It was bit blustery and wild up on the moors but it made for the perfect dramatic setting in which to tie the knot.
I'm a big fan of non traditional weddings and off the cuff locations. I'd love to photograph more wedding like this one in the future.
